As a volunteer social worker, you support newly arrived refugees. You guide them in their place of residence.Detailed description
As a volunteer social worker, you support newly arrived refugees. You familiarize them with their place of residence, support them in completing forms and arranging practical matters such as applying for permits, benefits, housing, study and so on. The guidance is aimed at increasing the independence and integration of newcomers.
What are we looking for:
§ Willingness to follow courses and participate in consultations
§ Having some administrative skills
§ To have knowledge of the social map of the region (if not, be willing and able to learn the social map.
§ Experience in guiding people is recommended.
§ Have resilience, be enthusiastic and eager to learn. In addition, you must have communication skills.
Working hours:
We are looking for volunteers who want to work 1 day or 2 half days a week for a year. You will receive training and guidance from INOVA.

New Civic Integration Act
The new Civic Integration Act will come into effect on 1 January 2022. Under the new Act, municipalities will offer social and financial guidance and the B1 and Z learning route to integrators.

* The BUCH municipalities consist of: Bergen, Uitgeest, Castricum and Heiloo
* The IJmond municipalities consist of: Beverwijk, Heemskerk and Velsen
