The Vogelhospitaal is a shelter for wild birds that temporarily need (medical) help. About 4000 birds per year are taken care of, cared for and released back into the wild as soon as possible.

Do you like gardening? We have a large garden around our Vogelhospitaal, which we have laid out in a bird-friendly way.
All of this must of course be taken care of, which is why a garden team of volunteers work a few days a week to make it all grow and bloom.
No training is required, but of course 'green fingers' and two right hands come in very handy.
Most of our volunteers work together for a fixed part of the day a week, so much fun! But you can go every day and if you like it, you can also get your own piece of garden to maintain in consultation with the manager.
