Summary

Refugee work has recently been given a new task. She now accompanies the Ukrainian refugees on their way to an independent existence in Velsen.

Detailed description

After the war broke out in the Ukraine, Refugee Work Velsen was soon confronted with the arrival of Ukrainian refugees. They are taken care of in various (emergency) reception locations. As it stands now, many of them will continue to live in the Netherlands longer than expected (and desired). This means that they will continue to live in an (emergency) reception location during that time. These locations are shared with other refugees from Ukraine and require a lot of tolerance and empathy from everyone, but especially from the residents themselves.

Refugee Council Velsen has been commissioned to supervise this process, the so-called Social Management. This means that 1 or more contact persons are linked to a residential location to monitor whether everything is going well there. To identify when there are problems and discuss this in the team of volunteers and with the Team Leader, and then see how certain matters can be addressed or resolved. As a housing supervisor, you are the face between the location, the Refugee Work and the Municipality.
