Summary
Our volunteers supervise the riding lessons for people with an intellectual disability. At riding school Vosse in Haarlem and riding school Kennemergaarde in SantpoortDetailed description
Want to volunteer in horse riding?
At De Baan you can learn to ride in a fun and safe way. The lessons are suitable for people with both mental and physical disabilities. For example, both riding schools have a hoist and there are aids to mount and sit properly in the saddle. The lessons are given by certified instructors.
Would you like to help with the lessons? For example, you support the participants with saddling, mounting and you walk next to the horse. We are also looking for people who can run along when the rider starts trotting. We are actually always looking for enthusiastic volunteers with a heart for the horses and our participants. For this you can contact Kim Kalwij, cultural worker at De Baan: [telephone number hidden] or [email address hidden]
