Summary
Exploring the new living environment together in the electric wheelchair as a Caregiver Volunteer.Detailed description
An older couple (65 and 71) in Santpoort South could use some help. Mister has PLS (a form of ALS) and needs more and more help and support with everything. The lady takes care of him, but is sometimes ready for a moment of relaxation for herself. They live in a new environment for them where the gentleman does not yet know all the steps that he has to cross with his electric wheelchair. He also wants to learn to drive even better with his electric wheelchair. Would you like to take a walk in Santpoort Zuid with Mr. They would like to make an appointment once every few weeks. And maybe in the long run a little longer if Ms would like to leave.
If you like this, it is possible to become a member of Socius as a Caregiver volunteer. We offer many different types of volunteer work and are happy to stay with you to see what best suits your needs. We then organize a VOG and a one-off volunteer basic training (2.5 hours).
If you are interested or have questions, please let me know and you can contact Eline Heermans via the site.
Sincerely, Eline Heermans.

Socius contributes – based on its own professionalism – to a society in which people come into their own, have a place and treat each other with respect. We encourage everyone to flourish by being open to new things, getting the best out of ourselves and others and going that extra mile. Whether you use our childcare or social work, whether you are an employee or volunteer. Where necessary, we offer help and support if it is not possible on our own. Where desired and possible, we create space for development and development.
