Summary

Enthusiastic drivers

Detailed description

To get to the SIG daytime activities, our clients are brought and

taken by volunteer drivers. With a (wheelchair) bus from the SIG, these transport volunteers drive to our various daytime activities in the Central and South Kennemerland regions.

We are looking for enthusiastic flex/stand-in drivers to join our active team of volunteers in the Haarlem and Beverwijk area.

Our clients' working day begins and ends with contact with the driver and the people on the bus. In addition to good driving skills , you are therefore expected to have good communication skills in contact with people with an intellectual disability.

Are you or do you know someone with experience and/or affinity with people with disabilities , in possession of a driver's license and available for a new challenge in these turbulent times? Please contact us!

It is useful to know that:

- it is really essential that you are available during the week (not during the weekend).

- riding takes place in Beverwijk, Haarlem and the surrounding area.

- therefore it is important that you live in or near Beverwijk/Haarlem

- it is possible to take a ride with an experienced driver without obligation so that you can experience whether the work meets your expectations and possibilities.

- we are also looking for drivers for our flex team who can cover in case of unavailability and holidays

- you will become part of an enthusiastic team of drivers.

- you will be given a mobile phone at your disposal during the performance of your volunteer work

- there is an opportunity to participate in an extensive internal training offer.

- you receive a monthly volunteer allowance based on the hours you work.

- a cultural subscription to CultuurWerkt,

- the annual team outing with fellow drivers,

- a Christmas gift and annual drinks for volunteers.

We also offer our volunteers many nice extras such as:

a cultural subscription to CultuurWerkt,

the annual team outing with fellow drivers,

a Christmas gift and annual drinks for volunteers.

About STG

Everyone prefers to live independently at home. Sometimes that doesn't come naturally. A disability or chronic illness can make a situation untenable. STG wants to prevent that.

That is why we support people with disabilities and their carers at home. With the help of committed volunteers, children and adults can continue to live at home longer and participate in society.

With the efforts of volunteers, parents are relieved of the burden of caring for their child. We do this in several ways:
* by using a volunteer who does activities with the child
* because the child goes to a host family
* by organizing fun activities for brothers and sisters
* by bringing parents together in meetings

We focus on children and adults with a mental or physical disability, chronic illness, ADHD or autism.

STG is an accessible, small volunteer organization in the regions of Central and South Kennemerland.

STG brings people together!
