Summary
Offer support during a fun group activity in your neighborhoodDetailed description
STG is looking for extra hands during joint activities in the neighborhood for various places in Haarlem, Velsen and Beverwijk. This can be as a table companion and discussion partner at a neighborhood initiative, but also as a cook. How nice is it to make a meal together with clients in a local shop or community center?
The aim of all initiatives is to promote social contact during a common moment, to allow clients to participate more in activities in the neighborhood or to end the day at a fixed meeting place.
Think of:
· A creative activity with clients at a residential location.
· A neighborhood walk with some clients and while walking in conversation
Prepare a meal as a kitchen prince or princess and join the joint eating moment
· Point of contact and helping hands at a neighborhood store.
Are you someone who:
- considers social contacts to be so important,
- is interested in the stories and experiences of the other,
- can provide structure
- and is available on a regular basis
Then we would love to get to know you further!
What do we offer?
We take into account how often and on which day you want to meet.
To support you in contact with clients, we have a wide range of training courses, which you can participate in as a volunteer for free. You will also be assigned a fixed point of contact and there is a confidential advisor who can always reach you.
What we will provide to volunteers
🤝 Extra supportAbout STG
That is why we support people with disabilities and their carers at home. With the help of committed volunteers, children and adults can continue to live at home longer and participate in society.
With the efforts of volunteers, parents are relieved of the burden of caring for their child. We do this in several ways:
* by using a volunteer who does activities with the child
* because the child goes to a host family
* by organizing fun activities for brothers and sisters
* by bringing parents together in meetings
We focus on children and adults with a mental or physical disability, chronic illness, ADHD or autism.
STG is an accessible, small volunteer organization in the regions of Central and South Kennemerland.
STG brings people together!
