Summary
Do you also like to be active and creative, are you enterprising and a real connector? Then we are looking for you!Detailed description
In brief
Several times a year, STG organizes a group activity for Brusjes (brothers and sisters of a child with a disability, 6 – 12 years), Young Informal Caregivers (12-18 years) and for parents with a child with a disability.
Together with other volunteers or interns and an STG employee you prepare the activity and you are present during the activity.
What is being asked of you?
Thinking along about the content of an activity and not being afraid to roll up your sleeves is what we ask of you. It is important to plan, organize and conduct group meetings while keeping an eye on the needs of this specific target group. You have a listening ear during the activity if this is necessary and you know when you can help someone else.
You are available 2 to 4 times a year on one day at the weekend
What do you get in return?
• Unforgettable moments
• Experience in working with a group
• You are part of an enthusiastic team of volunteers, professionals and trainees at STG/SIG
• Support from STG/SIG through individual contact with a fixed point of contact
• Be able to follow training meetings free of charge
With your efforts you give these children and young people some time for themselves and the opportunity to meet other 'brush' or young carers and share experiences during a pleasant activity.
Interested or would you like to know more?
PS: We stick to the measures of the RIVM.
Hopefully see you soon!
What we will provide to volunteers
🤝 Extra supportAbout STG
That is why we support people with disabilities and their carers at home. With the help of committed volunteers, children and adults can continue to live at home longer and participate in society.
With the efforts of volunteers, parents are relieved of the burden of caring for their child. We do this in several ways:
* by using a volunteer who does activities with the child
* because the child goes to a host family
* by organizing fun activities for brothers and sisters
* by bringing parents together in meetings
We focus on children and adults with a mental or physical disability, chronic illness, ADHD or autism.
STG is an accessible, small volunteer organization in the regions of Central and South Kennemerland.
STG brings people together!
