Detailed description

Do you keep a cool head and take action when someone needs immediate help? Then you are the new event assistant we are looking for!

What are you going to do?

- Providing first aid at events

Fainting, concussion, bleeding or alcohol poisoning. You encounter all sorts of things during an event. Is someone injured? You know what to do through training and experience. During various events in the North Holland region, you and your team are ready. The visitors have a great day and so do you.

After an internal training (including obtaining a first aid certificate) you will start working as an event first aid worker (first aid worker) at various events. You can schedule yourself for this. Our event assistance forms the basis for our emergency assistance.

Our event assistance forms the basis for our emergency aid. As a Red Cross aid worker, you are trained for unexpected situations; therefore, you could also be deployed in major calamities if necessary. Check out our YouTube channel for a video about event assistance at the Red Cross! Together we make a difference!

There are opportunities for advancement to the emergency response team and/or population care.

Who are you?

- You are 18 years or older, have strong communication skills and have a good command of the Dutch language in speech and writing

- When something happens, you take immediate action; you are stress-resistant, take responsibility and have the ability to cope

- You are available for at least 52 hours a year; more hours are of course always possible!

For this function a valid extended first aid certificate is required. If you do not have one yet, you can obtain one through the Red Cross.

What do we offer you?

As a volunteer, you contribute to the work of the Red Cross. That feels good! You get the chance to develop your talents and work together with motivated and enthusiastic volunteers and employees. The Red Cross reimburses travel and expenses incurred and ensures that you are insured during the execution of your work.
