Summary

Do you want to build the self-confidence of women so that they can and dare to take control in an emergency situation?

Detailed description

Do you want to build the self-confidence of women so that they can and dare to take control in an emergency situation? Do you enjoy standing in front of a group and giving training? Then we are looking for you as our new trainer Heldin!

Heldin is a course for women by women. The course focuses on women who find it difficult to act in emergency situations. During the course, participants not only work on their first aid knowledge, but also self-confidence, assertiveness and effective communication are included in the training.

Heldin gives women the tools they need to survive in various challenging situations. They feel more confident about their own abilities. As a result, they not only know what to do in emergency situations, but they also dare to act and remain calm.

What are you going to do?

A Heroine course consists of individual introductory interviews and seven meetings of 2.5 hours each.

- Conduct introductory interviews with new participants

- Give trainings, together with your fellow volunteer. You also prepare these trainings together (a format is already available)

- Evaluating the training provided, so that knowledge is exchanged and bottlenecks can be detected and addressed

Who are you?

- You have strong communication skills and you have a good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.

- You get energy from giving training, you can easily stand in front of a group and you are culturally sensitive

- Connecting is your strength

The vacancy is open for the entire region of North Holland. The region of North Holland is Haarlem and surroundings, Alkmaar and surroundings, Hoorn and surroundings and Purmerend and surroundings. You will be placed in a pool of advisers and you will preferably be deployed in or close to your own place of residence.

On average, trainers spend 30-35 hours on the course per course series, including preparations, briefing, introductory interviews and evaluation. The expectation is that you can give a course series at least twice a year.

Because the course is 'for women, by women', we are specifically looking for women to deliver the training for this position.

What do we offer you?

As a volunteer, you contribute to the work of the Red Cross. That feels good! You get the chance to develop your talents because the Red Cross provides courses and/or training for the purpose of performing the function. The Red Cross reimburses travel and expenses incurred and ensures that you are insured during the performance of your work. At the Red Cross, we work according to the basic principles and our code of conduct.
