Would you be there for a refugee who becomes unwell in a reception centre? Would you help an athlete reach the finish line during a running event? Could you reassure someone suffering from sunstroke at a festival?
Through training and regular deployment at events, volunteer Event Aid Workers at the Red Cross keep their knowledge up to date and expand it. Volunteers and professionals are thus also ready as an emergency aid organization that can be deployed by the government in times of need.
Become a first aid worker at the Red Cross! You will provide first aid together with other volunteers at various locations, such as events or refugee shelters. Of course, you will first be offered a first aid training.
Who are you?
You speak Dutch well and are 18 years or older ·
You have a valid certificate of Extended Red Cross First Aid or are willing to obtain one. You are willing to follow additional training. You make yourself available for a number of days per year
You are stress-resistant and have the ability to cope
You take immediate action when something happens and you take responsibility
You listen well and respond to victims' needs
