When you see the Red Cross, you see help

You will encounter us at large and small events where we provide first aid. With our first aid courses we ensure that even more people can provide first aid. We also help to increase willingness to help and self-reliance by providing information and education.

District Kennemerland consists of the locations Zuid-Kennemerland, IJmond and Haarlemmermeer.

More than 55 volunteers from the IJmond Location are ready to help. We help the most vulnerable. The Red Cross Location IJmond is looking for a:

Volunteer Management Coordinator IJmond (voluntary)

Working with volunteers means paying attention to people who work unpaid for our assistance. This includes a welcome feeling, a pleasant working atmosphere, good guidance and a suitable workplace.

About what you're going to do

promoting and further developing the volunteer policy and participating in the district-wide volunteer management working group, where you also meet colleagues from other locations.

· Act as a point of contact and source of information for the coordinators and all volunteers at the location, on topics that fall under volunteer management (mutual well-being, interaction, rights, responsibilities, obligations, binding, captivating, saying goodbye, etc.).

· Support with recruitment and selection and organizing progress discussions with volunteers.

· Thinking about and implementing appreciation and binding and engaging volunteers.

· Planning and organizing parties and recognitions.

· Supporting the coordinators in mutual disputes.

· Planning and preparing meetings with the location coordinators (1 x quarter).

· Organizing activities to strengthen the promotion of the code of conduct and the basic principles.

About what you bring

· You speak Dutch well and have at least an MBO work and thinking level.

· You have an affinity with volunteer work.

· You are enthusiastic and involved.

· You have a strong personality with good communication and social skills.

· Above all, you have a team spirit and the ability to connect people.

· You are willing to commit approximately 4 hours a week, this can be partly done from home and partly by appointment with volunteers or a working group on location in Velsen or nearby.

· You have your own computer/laptop and are willing to commit approximately 4 hours per week.

· You endorse the basic principles and objectives of the Red Cross.
