Detailed description
Velserbeek petting zoo is a much-visited place where (grand)parents with children can enjoy watching and interacting with animals.
There is a need for supervisors on the farm, especially for the weekend. As a voluntary supervisor, you will be deployed 1 x every 4 to 5 weeks on Saturday or Sunday to supervise from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
You do not have to care for or feed the animals, but make sure that no animals escape and that the children treat the animals with kindness. You also open the farm, and the gates that children have to go through.
You also ensure that the playground equipment is put outside and the toilet building is opened

The care of the animals, management, maintenance and supervision is carried out by the municipality of Velsen, in collaboration with sheltered employment, volunteers, reintegration agencies and trainees.
Chickens, goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs, swans and peacocks can be seen at the petting zoo and other accommodations. They are all purebred animals, including Old Dutch breeds.
