Summary

Help cook for neighborhood meals at the De Dwarsligger Community Center. Fun, meaningful and valuable volunteer work in the neighborhood!

Detailed description

Do you have a heart for the neighborhood and do you like to get your hands dirty in the kitchen? Then we are looking for you!

For an initiative in the De Dwarsligger Community Center, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to help with:

  • Preparing meals
  • Cleaning kitchen utensils and work areas
  • Later also: setting tables, clearing and washing dishes

Initially, we will start by making take-away meals for residents in the area. The work will take place from approximately 11:00 to 16:00 .

In the long term, we want to grow into a cozy communal meal in De Dwarsligger itself. Then the end time shifts to about 17:00 to 18:30 , and tasks such as welcoming guests, setting tables and clearing up afterwards are added.

What are we asking?

  • Affinity for cooking or helping in the kitchen
  • Reliability and fun in working together
  • Availability on weekdays (Tuesday or Wednesday)

What do we offer?

  • A pleasant working environment with local residents
  • A meaningful contribution to a warm and hospitable neighborhood
  • Opportunities to meet new people and build social contacts
