We are looking for repair volunteers from October 2025 for a new Repair Café to be set up in the Wijk de Dwarsligger home.

Summary


Are you handy with (electronic) devices, toys, furniture or clothing? Do you like helping people and contributing to a sustainable society?


We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for our new Repair Café in the Dwarsligger Community Center!


What are you going to do?

  • Repairing broken items such as electronics, toys, household appliances, textiles, etc.

Naturally, we will look at your expertise.

  • Sharing knowledge with local residents
  • Contribute to reducing waste and promoting reuse.


What do we offer you?

  • A pleasant working environment in IJmuiden
  • The opportunity to pick up your (old) expertise again
  • Various repair jobs

What are we asking?

  • Dexterity/experience in repairing one of the areas mentioned.
  • Technical insight
  • Enthusiasm to help others
  • Able to collaborate with other volunteer repairers
  • Be available at least once a month. (days in consultation)
