Being read to when you are young is not something that comes naturally to everyone. Yet reading aloud is important for a child's language development. You get to know new words and stories.
As a reader at the VoorleesExpress you read aloud to the children of a family where reading aloud is not self-evident. During a reading program you will visit twenty times. You read from a book and take along a language game. This way you show the whole family what difference reading aloud can make.
The families are registered for the VoorleesExpress through schools or organizations. After an intake interview, the families are also looking forward to it! Together you look for the possibilities and opportunities in each specific family.
To make you an expert, you will receive introductory training before you start reading. In addition, we keep you informed of the latest developments and insights and organize expertise promotion twice a year. This way you can grow in the role of reader and transfer your knowledge and skills.
