Summary

Do you want to have a positive impact on the future of young coders? Become a CoderDojo Champion now and organize your own CoderDojo!

Detailed description

As a CoderDojo Champion you help children and young people between the ages of 7 and 17 to develop and improve their programming skills. Through your knowledge and enthusiasm you can inspire and guide the next generation of coders.

As a CoderDojo volunteer, you will be the mentor guiding the youth in learning code for the development of creative projects. You learn from that too! You have the opportunity to learn different programming languages and tools such as Scratch, JavaScript, Python, HTML and many more! It doesn't matter if you already have coding experience or not, everyone is welcome to sign up and join. At the CoderDojo you learn from each other.

In addition to learning code, CoderDojo also offers the chance to make new friends, have fun experiences and participate in the ever-growing world of technology and new media.

As a CoderDojo Champion you are the champion of your CoderDojo, you are the one who organizes the CoderDojo sessions, attracts new coders and keeps in touch with involved CoderDojo mentors. Are you the Champion we are looking for?

Keep an eye on! You are not a CoderDojo Champion just like that, we have a stricter selection procedure for this volunteer vacancy than usual.

· You communicate with the CoderDojo organization and other CoderDojo mentors about the events

· You know how to recruit new talents for your CoderDojo

· Maintain good relationships with the participants, parents, sponsors and the local community

· Reporting problems or concerns to the CoderDojo organization or other appropriate agencies
